Mae’r Awdurdod Addysg yn casglu data ar bresenoldeb yn dymhorol ac maent yn monitro canrannau pob ysgol yn ofalus.   *** Er nid yw hyn yn statudol ar gyfer disgyblion Meithrin, rydym yn tracio canran presenoldeb y plant er mwyn hybu arfer dda ***

Mae presenoldeb a phrydlondeb rhagorol yn flaenoriaeth i ni yma yn Ysgol Iolo Morganwg, gan y gall effeithio’n uniongyrchol ar safonau. Mae presenoldeb a phrydlondeb da yn sicrhau fod eich plentyn yn cael pob chwarae teg i gyrraedd eu llawn botensial. Gall cyfnodau sylweddol o absenoldeb, neu brydlondeb gwael effeithio’n fawr ar hyder y plentyn e.e wrth golli cyflwyniadau i wersi, thema neu uned o waith newydd, wrth ymgartrefu yn y dosbarth ac wrth gymhwyso dealltwriaeth neu ailymweld a sgiliau penodol. Gofynnwn hefyd i rieni neu warchodwyr sicrhau eu bod wedi cofnodi ac arwyddo ar ran disgyblion sydd yn cyrraedd yn hwyr neu yn ymadael yn gynnar. 

The Education Authority collects attendance data termly and each school’s percentages are monitored closely.  *** Although this is not a statutory requirement for Nursery pupils, we track the attendance rate of every child in order to encourage good practice ***

Excellent attendance and punctuality is a priority for us in Ysgol Iolo Morganwg, as it can directly impact standards. Good attendance is vitally important as it ensures that your child is given a fair opportunity to achieve to their full potential. A period of low attendance or late arrivals can affect wellbeing, through missing introductions to specific lessons and contexts of learning, lowering confidence when settling in or missing opportunities to revisit and apply specific skills.  We also ask that parents and guardians sign in on behalf of any pupils that arrive late or leave early.

A fuasech cystal â chysylltu â’r ysgol yn syth ar ddiwrnod cyntaf absenoldeb eich plentyn. Os na ddaw eglurhad am yr absenoldeb yna caiff ei farcio fel absenoldeb anawdurdodedig. Dylid cefnogi pob absenoldeb gyda rheswm.

Please would you be so kind as to contact the school on the first day of any absence.  If there is no explanation given for an absence it will be marked as unauthorised. A reason should be given for every absence.
