Mae gennym ddisgwyliadau uchel o’r disgyblion, o ran safonau yn ogystal ag ymddygiad ac ymglymiad i ddysgu. Rydym hefyd yn gwerthfawrogi pwysigrwydd datblygu’r plentyn cyfan, wrth eu hannog i ddatblygu eu sgiliau a’u talentau unigol, gan roi llwyfan i bawb allu dathlu eu cyflawniad. Mae’n flaenoriaeth gennym hefyd i ddatblygu dysgwyr annibynnol sydd yn dangos gwydnwch a blaengaredd wrth wynebu heriau newydd, ac yn manteisio i’r eithaf ar bob cyfle i ddysgu.

Daw hyn oll yn bosib os yw’r plentyn yn teimlo’n gysurus ac yn hapus a’n bwriad yn Ysgol Iolo Morganwg yw sicrhau bod pob plentyn yn teimlo felly ac yn mwynhau pob agwedd o fywyd ysgol.

A word from the Headteacher.

Welcome to Ysgol Iolo Morganwg!

Ysgol Iolo Morganwg was established in 1979 to offer Welsh medium education to the children of the Rural Vale and over the years the school has gone from strength to strength. It now has around 200 pupils but still retains the feel of a village school which contributes greatly to the local community.

We have high expectations of the pupils, in terms of standards as well as behaviour and commitment to learning. We also appreciate the importance of developing the whole child, by encouraging them to develop their individual skills and talents, giving everyone a platform to celebrate their achievements. Our priority is also to develop independent learners who demonstrate resilience and innovation in facing new challenges, and make the most of every learning opportunity.

All of this becomes possible if the child feels comfortable and happy and our intention at Ysgol Iolo Morganwg is to ensure that every child feels that way and enjoys every aspect of school life.
