Welcome evening sessions have been confirmed, on the dates that were shared with you before the Summer (see below) and we hope you can attend these short meetings to get a glimpse of life in your child’s new class, and to receive information about teaching and learning in general as well as the daily routine in class. There is no welcome evening for Nursery and Reception pupils, as these have already taken place at the end of the summer term. The key information shared will be available on the School website shortly after the meetings, and you will be notified of extra-curricular activities and clubs that will start shortly.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we start another busy Term at Ysgol Iolo Morganwg, I would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the spring term. Please find below a link to more important dates.
It was a joy to see many of our pupils performing and succeeding in the Urdd regional and county competitions, and we wish children competing in the vocal ensemble, string solo and duet competition, all the best as the go on to compete in the National Urdd eisteddfod in Builth Wells, during Half Term. Information regarding prelim days and times can be found on the Urdd website, and more detail will follow. Field entry tickets will be purchased for the competitors. Thank you to all teachers and parents for their hard work and support.
Thank you also for your efforts in responding to our Welsh Language Charter plan, and in helping us to achieve the Bronze award. Onwards and upwards towards the Silver award!
I would like to remind parents of the importance of
– updating contact details, to ensure that phone numbers /e-mail addresses are current
– updating allergy information if new allergies arise or if children are no longer deemed to be intolerant/allergic to foods, so that we are able to ensure health and safety of individuals.
– make every effort to be punctual on arrival to school and minimise all absences from school so that we can raise our attendance percentages and reach our targets.
Thank you also for your responses to the latest questionnaire held during parents evening, which will be shared .in the near future.
